Numbers don’t always tell the whole story, or even the right one, but in this case, they’ll do just fine.

When we started this process in January, we had only a vague idea of what shape our blog would take. We only knew that the ‘old ways’ of sharing information weren’t having the impact we were looking for. We’ve had a great time learning about the blogosphere and now it’s time to celebrate!

Here in Florida, we can easily do that with another beach retreat, a lovely bottle of wine, and some relaxing al fresco dining. But we wanted to include you in the celebration as well. When fellow SLP blogger and app developer, Angela Desideri, contacted us about providing a code to her SpeechTree AAC app, we decided to take her up on her generous offer.Speechtree App

You can learn more about SpeechTree through these videos and by reading Robin’s app review on Tech in Special Ed. Here’s the Rafflecopter info on how to enter the drawing for this amazing giveaway.

Drawing is on July 8, 2012.

I would use this app with my son. The very best thing about this particular AAC app is how it comes with ‘training’ so to speak. There are lessons to be used with the AAC portion. Wonderful!!! (fingers crossed)

We love the trend toward learning activities in addition to the actual communication app. Lingraphica, a company that focuses on people with aphasia, was the first to really use this successfully and we are glad to see that this concept is catching on with app developers. Good luck!

  • Meryl says:

I love how this app keeps track of receptive and expressive language progress!

This app would be used by a friend of mine, whose daughter is non-verbal. This is exactly what she needs !!

  • Kris says:

I have a child with down syndrome and severe verbal apraxia whom I homeschool. He needs an AAC app and this is so the one I want to get for him.

So excited about the opportunity to have a chance to win this app. The apps format is a perfect fit for my non-verbal 2 1/2 year old. Because we homeshcool the lessons built in would be an added benefit we could take great advantage of.
