Video of the Week: Exploring Text-based AAC Apps

Individuals with strong language and literacy skills often prefer text-based AAC tools rather than those that use picture symbols. In today’s featured video, we learn about the options from AT Specialists Elizabeth Barry and Jacqueline Wilkie from the Simon Technology Center at the Pacer Center in Minnesota. In this presentation, they discuss some of the important features and issues to consider in helping AAC users select a text-based AAC app. Both free and paid apps are included in their review.
