Last spring, when PrAACtical AAC hosted some online conversations about the intersection of race, equity, and AAC, I had the opportunity to meet wonderful professionals, families, and students who shared an interest in this topic. In today’s featured video, we learn from three SLPs who apply themselves to these challenges in very concrete and far-reaching ways, Alma Partida, Jill D’Braunstein, and Christina Royster. How can we best support learners with complex communication needs who come from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds?
