PráctiCAAmente Conectados: Estrategias de CAA en el Aula

Happy September, CAA friends! Each month, we publish a Spanish post by guest author Claudia Marimón to highlight AAC work being done in Spanish-speaking countries and offer translations of material that can help families and service providers. In today’s post, Claudia focuses on the new school year and shares a presentation on supporting AAC in the classroom.

Sabemos que en el mes de Septiembre varios países de la comunidad hispano hablante se encuentran iniciando el período escolar, por ello queremos compartir algunas estrategias útiles para facilitar y favorecer la participación de los estudiantes usuarios de CAA en la interacción en el aula.

Apoyando a los maestros a crear un ambiente lingüístico que favorezca la adquisición y producción del lenguaje y la comunicación en sus múltiples formas. Brindando acceso a los sistemas de CAA, empleando estrategias de estimulación de lenguaje asistido que permitan y motiven a los estudiantes a aprender a usar sus sistemas de CAA en entornos reales de aprendizaje en el que estén inmersos en el uso de su sistema de comunicación.

El aula un espacio de aprendizaje con muchas  condiciones que pueden apoyar la implementación de un sistema de CAA. Y los maestros y pares pueden llegar a ser los mejores compañeros de comunicación.

We know that in September several countries in the Spanish-speaking community are starting the school year, so we want to share some useful strategies to facilitate and encourage the participation of AAC student users in classroom interaction.

Supporting teachers to create a linguistic environment that promotes the acquisition and production of language and communication in its multiple forms. Providing access to AAC systems, using assisted language stimulation strategies that allow and motivate students to learn to use their AAC systems in real learning environments in which they are immersed in the use of their communication system.

The classroom is a learning space with many conditions that can support the implementation of an AAC system. And teachers and peers can be the best communication partners.
