Happy Tuesday, AAC friends! Once a week we invite you to share your own AAC-related content, product news, or anything else that you’d like others in the AAC community to know about. It may be a recent post you’ve written, a slide deck from your AAC presentation, a handout, video, or meme that you’ve posted online, an AAC product you’ve created, an announcement for an AAC camp or conference, or any other prAACtical content you developed and want to share with the AAC community. To post your own link, scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post and complete the form. Enter the URL and the name/title in the boxes provided below. [Read More...]

Happy Tuesday, AAC friends! Before we get to our user-submitted content, here’s another look at the AAC app sales that are happening in celebration of AAC Awareness Month. AAC SLP and AT specialist Lauren Enders continues the tradition of tracking these sales and putting together graphics to spread the word. This year, she’s made the image interactive so that you can click on the individual sale picture to go right to the app store for more information. You can go to that version of the image here. If you click on the version below, you’ll be able to download the graphic as a PDF. Thank you, Lauren, for sending this along and allowing us to share it with our PrAACtical AAC readers! AAC friends, we are back with our second AAC Link Up in Spanish. If you have materials or videos in Spanish that you would like others to know about, we’d love to have you add that information below. Also, please share this with anyone who might be interested in contributing to or using the materials that get added to these posts. And if this is of interest to you, mark your calendars to check back in with us on the first Friday of every month for PráctiCAAmente Conectados Con Links. Today, we are celebrating AAC Awareness Month with a wonderful resource, our AAC 101 Flipbook, which we first wrote about here.. The flipbook is full of information on key strategies for supporting AAC users. Diana Angeles translated it into Spanish as part of the Hablando PráctiCAAmente project. Claudia Marimón helped with the editing and Deanna Wagner reviewed the final product.... [Read More...]
