I am a DSW student. These type of information and videos can add to my learning process. These visual learning strategies can also benefit the AAC learners. The people working in the profession can try these visual strategies to improve the student’s comprehension. In cooperating student’s special interests while designing the visual aids is an interesting and valuable concept so that we can draw their attention towards the content. Positive reinforcement can increase the desired behavior. From this blog I am learning new skills and I am also learning how to use the learned information in a real life situation. I always believe in the concept of change ourselves and bring change to others. Thank You.

Arya, thank you for taking the time to comment and share your thoughts on the use of visual supports. This is a topic we’ve written a lot about as they are both flexible and powerful. Incorporating special interests is not onlyy effective, but fun to do and we all deserve a little fun. 🙂 Best of luck to you in your DSW program.
